RESIDENTS of Morapaneng Village outside Burgersfort, Limpopo are gatvol of the principal at Mpetje Primary School.
They said it would be a huge relief if he left.
Residents claimed he has been insulting and harassing teachers since 2014.
The angry residents said they don’t trust him anymore, as he has failed them.
SGB chairman Shocky Mahlakwane told Daily Sun the principal always gave teachers a hard time. “They no longer enjoy school because of him.”
She claimed the worst was that he insulted and fought with teachers in front of pupils.
“There is no way the school can perform and produce good results under his leadership.”
She claimed he also used the children. “They are being used as messengers to insult the teachers.
“Our kids should not be dragged into his mud.”
She said it is painful to be disappointed by someone you trusted.
“We expected a lot from him but he has failed us for no reason.
“Our kids are only learning insults. They are going nowhere with such poor leadership. We want the department to take action against him before our children become professional insulters.”
She said the matter was raised at the circuit office but fell on deaf ears.
Culture Mahlakwane said they wanted the situation to end. “This is disgusting and kids are no longer safe at school.”
He said they couldn’t afford to move their kids.
Spokesman Sam Makondo said the education department stands for professionalism and expects managers of schools to behave in this way.
“The department will look into the claims and decide the course of action after hearing both sides.”
