THREE men were killed in the same kasi in separate incidents in the early hours of Sunday morning.
In the first incident in Zola extension near Songeni, outside Thulamahashe in Mpumalanga, Ronnie Moyane (33) had his throat cut with a beer bottle at a tavern at about 3am.
The second victim was Mandla Khosa (28). He was gunned down at 2.30am after a brawl with a local man at a stokvel event.
In the third incident, Samson Khoza (34), was stabbed to death at a filling station at Thulamahashe Plaza at 5am. He was allegedly stabbed in the neck by a man with whom he had a heated argument.
Mandla’s uncle, Robert Mona (55), told Daily Sun he and his family rushed to the scene after receiving a call about the murder.
“Bystanders told us Mandla was rushed to Thulamahashe Health Centre but by the time he arrived, it was already too late. He had a bullet wound next to his kidney,” Robert said.
“We don’t have enough money for the funeral and his mum is not working.”
The suspected petrol station killer is still on the run and anyone with information about the incident should contact Mhala Police Station on 013 773 0331.
Police Sergeant Abigail Nxumalo said three cases of murder were opened and two suspects had already handed themselves in.
Both were due to appear in the Mhala Magistrates Court soon.
