COPS in Lephalale have launched a massive manhunt for six suspects who burnt a shopping complex on Sunday.

A shop owner who was cashing up for the day, was confronted by six unknown suspects at the Marapong complex.

“One suspect holding a firearm demanded money and after, an undisclosed amount of money was then taken from the shop,” Police spokesperson Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said.

The suspects further burned the whole store with everything inside, before fleeing the scene.

Ngoepe said the estimated damage to the Marapong Complex is estimated to cost about R11 million and the suspects are still at large and no arrests have been made yet.
