MPUMALANGA is the place to be this weekend . . .
An Afro-soul music concert will take place at Church on The Hill in KaMagugu, Nelspruit tomorrow.
Music giants Vusi Nova, Zonke Dikana and Nathi Mankayi will entertain fans.
They will be joined by new kid on the block and Afro-pop singer, Bridget Maseko (34) from Etwatwa, Ekurhuleni.
Bridget told SunBuzz: “I feel honoured because it will be the first time I’m sharing the stage with great Afro-pop artists in the country.
“What makes the day so special is that I will also be launching my debut album at the event. I am also grateful to my manager, Sello Mbuyane, because he didn’t hesitate to sign me when he heard my music.”
Bridget is expected to release her album Uthando Lweqiniso on Monday.
“I am humbled and would like to thank the late Kylex, who discovered me.
“He taught me a lot about the music industry, and now I feel it’s my time to shine.
“I know that there are many talented Afro-pop artists in the country, but I am here to do my thing, and not to compete with anyone.”
Tickets are available at Computicket for R280. The VIP package is R700. It includes the three latest CDs of artists performing at the concert. The event starts at 6pm until late.
